Duane L. Schleder, 68, of Warrensburg, IL passed away on Sunday (Feb. 5, 2012) in his residence.

A service to celebrate Duane’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 8, 2012) at Dawson & Wikoff North Chapel. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Illini Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to donor’s choice.

Mr. Schleder was born on May 9, 1943 in Lincoln, IL, the son of Clarence M. and Geraldine (Gilchrist) Schleder. Duane retired in 1992 from National Cash Register after 25 years of service. He was co-owner of Technical Maintenance Inc. from 1993-2003. He served proudly with the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam. He was an avid woodworker and was a member of the Emden American Legion and the DAV. He attended Northwest Christian Church. Duane married Jennie L. Behrends on March 4, 1967.

Surviving is his wife: Jennie L. Schleder of Warrensburg, IL; mother: Geraldine Schleder of Mt. Pulaski, IL; daughter: Kimberly A. Schleder of Decatur, IL; sons: Timothy A. (Camie) Schleder of Maroa, IL, Eric L. Schleder and his fiancée Amanda of Orlando, FL; sisters: Mary (Tom) Roberts of Mokena, IL, Sue Ann (Bob) Dixon of Springfield, IL; grandchildren: Cody Wayne Schleder, Morgan Elaine Schleder, Colton James Schleder.

He was preceded in death by his father: Clarence M. Schleder.
